Description :
As an Industrial Engineering Technician, your role will be essential in optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and maintaining workplace safety standards. You will hold a dynamic position with diverse responsibilities!
Design and Optimization of Production Lines :
Collaborate with the engineering team to participate in the optimal and safe design of production lines, cells, and workstations. Identify and analyze existing production flows to propose improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waiting and travel times.
Time and Motion Studies :
Conduct time and motion studies to assess current performance and identify optimization opportunities.
Feasibility Studies and Equipment Acquisition :
In collaboration with engineering, study the feasibility of new installations or equipment acquisitions to enhance production processes.
Validation of Improvement Impacts :
Participate in validating the impacts of proposed improvements to ensure their relevance and effectiveness.
Generation of Work Instructions :
Write clear work instructions in the form of text, photos, or videos to guide operators in task execution.
Tooling Needs Identification :
Identify tooling needs, such as assembly jigs, to facilitate production operations.
Packaging Design and Improvement :
Design and improve packaging to optimize efficiency and product protection.
Technical Support for Research and Development :
Provide technical support to the research and development team by establishing operation sequences and providing information to calculate the cost of new products and facilitate their production.
Technological Watch :
Conduct technological watch activities to stay updated on new manufacturing processes and make recommendations for process improvements.
Kaizen Planning and Implementation :
Plan and implement Kaizen improvements in response to specific continuous improvement requests.
Skills and experience required :
• College diploma in industrial engineering or related field
• Experience in the design and development of manufacturing/work methods
• Analytical and observational skills
• You are focused on process optimization and improvement
• You particularly appreciate teamwork
• Good command of the Office suite
• Sense of initiative
