Mecanical Engineering Technician

Description :

As a Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will provide essential technical expertise in the acquisition and design of production equipment. You will play an active role in the setup, maintenance, and improvement of equipment.

Design and Integration of Production Equipment :

Participate in ideation and the design of mechanical equipment tailored to specific needs. Integrate tooling, fixtures, and mechanical equipment into manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

Technical Drawing :

Use CAD software to draw and update mechanical components and assemblies. Create detailed plans to facilitate the manufacturing and setup of equipment.

Cost Estimation and Preparation of Technical Quotes :

Estimate costs and required materials for production equipment projects. Prepare technical quotes to be included in project bids.

Technical Expertise in Dies and Tooling :

Provide expertise in the field of dies and tooling to ensure the quality and efficiency of manufacturing processes.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting :

Provide technical support for equipment troubleshooting in case of breakdowns or production stoppages.

Technological Watch :

Stay informed about the latest technological advancements in the field of mechanical engineering and production equipment.

Training and Occupational Health and Safety Risk Analysis :

Act as an occasional trainer to share technical knowledge with other team members. Participate in occupational health and safety (OHS) risk analyses to ensure a safe working environment.

Perform all related tasks as requested by immediate supervisor.

Skills and experience required :

• DEC in mechanical engineering or related field

• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously

• Experience with CAD software

• A keen interest in the manufacturing environment

• Rigorous and versatile

• You are known for your ability to adapt

• Bilingualism is an asset
