
Production Operator - Welding
Work Shift : The night shift is four 10-hour evenings, Monday to Thursday, from 3:45 p.m. to 2:15 a.m.

Description :
The Production Operator - Welding plays an important role in the assembly of components using spot and electric welding processes on the various rotating stations.
Operations preparation :
Prepare for production by inspecting jigs, performing installations, making adjustments and validating required parameters. Sharpen tips and report any breakage.
Welding operations :
Perform production operations necessary to assemble components, in accordance with drawings, roadmaps, procedures and work instructions, in the quantities required.
Quality control :
Perform quality controls such as visual inspections of components, testing according to the prescribed sampling plan, dimensional validations with metrology instruments and/or gauges, and report any non-conformities.
Safety :
Comply with safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries. Use personal protective equipment as required.
Communication :
Collaborate with other members of the production team and report problems to the team leader. Keep track of production in the system.
Perform all related tasks as requested by immediate supervisor.
Skills and experience required :
• Skills in blueprint reading, metrology and industrial production
• Good knowledge of welding symbols
• DEP (secondary school vocational diploma) in welding and assembly is an asset
• Experience in electric or resistance welding such as spot welding is an asset
• Knowledge of imperial measurement systems (inches) is an asset
